SEE YOU IN OTTAWA, FRIENDS!!!
Ok, let me back up for a second.
There we go.
So, about two months ago, I entered a contest called the EduTOX video challenge. Canadians between the ages of 14 and 22 were invited to create a two-minute video focusing on toxins in our environment. The videos were evaluated by a panel of celebrities and scientists.
My video was called “Air Pollution: Toxins in Car Exhaust”, and it focused on the negative impacts of driving your car. Well, I won the prize for top overall English video in the contest!
I have been invited to Ottawa to attend the World’s Largest Sandbox Event on Wednesday, June 8. This event brings together parliamentarians, environmental organizations, preschoolers, and everyone in between to raise awareness of the health of Canadian kids!
There, I will receive my award in person, and participate in the sandcastle-building competition on the Pollution Probe team!
It is such an honour to have been chosen, and I am super excited for the event! Thank you, EduTOX team!!
